I first saw Lisa’s work when in Houston. Her one of kind sculptural forms provided a pleasing aesthetic to look at. She grabbed inspiration from nature and her surroundings.
I especially like her because she didn’t do the traditional jewelry. She also created sculptures that were out of the ordinary.

I love these sculpture pieces because of their organic forms. Viewing these pieces reminds me of biology and micro organisms. The piece above is intriguing because of the dense heavy looking solid form on the left juxtaposed with the delicate tendril like form on the right that takes up at least three times the amount of space but still appears to be lighter.
ReplyDeleteThese works are pretty awesome. I love the flow and movement within each piece and exactly as ananda said above, they remind me of micro organisms made of precious metals.
ReplyDeletePretty cool, The second ring is very interesting in how the artist placed all those little domes, that took some time. They remind me of something in the dark waters of the ocean.
ReplyDeleteThese pieces are really interesting. They look like they were alive and cast in silver. Although they are made of metal they look so lightweight and delicate.
